Commanded by Rear Adm. Allen G. Myers, commander, Carrier Strike Group (CCSG) 8, IKE CSG includes the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier Dwight D. “I’m extremely proud of the men and women of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group,” said Myers. “We’re looking forward to working closely together with our coalition and regional partners to strengthen our collective efforts to keep the seas free, safe and secure for trade and commerce, conducting maritime security operations and missions that support ground troops. We’re ready, and we’re here to make a difference. ”

During this deployment, IKE CSG is prepared to operate alongside coalition partners to conduct MSO under international maritime conventions to ensure security and safety in international waters so that all commercial shipping can operate freely while transiting the region.
